Shawna and Macaela met in 2021 and quickly bonded through their middle children who share close birthdays. From the beginning, their mutual love of design became apparent. Shawna helped Macaela renovate her kitchen and this new idea began.

Hobby turned into small business, Grá Interior Designs was born at the end of 2022. Shawna Poole started helping friends and family with space planning, mood boards, and soon found herself project managing large scale kitchen renovations and decided to give herself a go. Grá means love in Irish, and our designs strive and challenge our selves to go back to our roots, focusing on loving the home. Our designs are purposeful, intimate, and curated to fit unique lifestyles and last the test of time.

In 2026, an additional service for Grá that combined Shawna’s knowledge in interior design with Macaela’s connections within the senior living industry. While there are other downsizing specialists in the Metro Atlanta area, none are as dedicated to the aesthetics of a space as Grá. We recognize that a move from a family home that holds decades of memories is incredibly stressful. Our process is designed to make it feel like a continuation of your life story where you always feel like home.
